My husband and l live in a Duplex.When our neighbors first moved in, it was not so bad.But now, they are ALWAYS stomping, playing really loud music, and yelling.For example, last night they started bumping their music at around 10 (it was rattling our walls) and when my husband and l got up this morning, it was still playing.We have tried talking to them several times.They turn it down for a little while then turn it right back up.We do not wanna be snitches and go to the landlord, but tensions are starting to run high from lack of sleep.

You have a legal right to QUIET ENJOYMENT of the property you own or rent. l suggest you have a chat with the landlord. If that does not provide results, then l suggest calling the police and filing a complaint.

Or you could just move.

If you've already talked to them about it and they still do this, you should complain to your landlord. Also, if its after 10pm (depending on where you live) you could call the police with a noise complaint. It is considered ''Disturbing the Peace.''

You have to confront them & explain your issues. If they are not willing to be courteous, report them to the land lord.

Sorry about the situation you are in. l know from personal experience how frustrating it is. l ended up moving & getting out of my lease early because the land lord understood that the other tenant was just plain psycho!

Snitching has nothing to do with it. They clearly have a lack of respect & consideration for you, so screw them. Talk to ur landlord about the problem. After that call the police. Almost every city in America has noise ordinance laws governing these things. The cut off is usually 10:00 PM. If they're noisy after that u can file an official complaint against them, which if they ignore can result in them being fined & in some places even jailed. Check ur city ordinances for the exact law in ur area.

Call your local police, your neighbors do not have to know who called. There is a quiet ordinance in most townships. Let your landlord know that the police have been over because of excessive noise, and maybe your problem will eventually get the boot. If being civil with your neighbors does not work, take more action or you will have a constant headache and no sleep.

Call the police, make a report and then talk to your landlord. The landlord cannot legally do much without proof - police reports.

You've already spoke to them without a resolution. Next is the landlord and after that, the police. Be prepared for repercussions which might or might not come. You pay your rent, and sorry but through the walls is unacceptable. After 10 is not ok as well.
