Two-years before the economic crisis, l moved in with my Dad from another city. Before getting an apartment of my own, l wanted to find a stable position with a high enough salary that would allow me to adequately pay for expenses. I've finally meet this criteria, but there are now issues with the economy. The last time financial analyst on the news and my parents was talking like this, l was in jr. high-school and George Bush Sr. was in office. Politics aside, l wonder if l should continue with my plan to move out on my own or wait until Economist paint a rosier picture? l would feel like a fool if l moved and lost my job and had to come-back to my Dad is house.

When my wife and l thought about getting married we wondered about our future. When we later decided to have children we wondered if it was affordable.

We never really know the future. Rent a place that is cheap enough you can sock a lot of money aside each month. Find a way thru your paycheck to do it automatically. If you lose your job you will have something to fall back on.

l spoke with someone about this same thing the other day..if u wait until u have a ton of money saved before u move on ur own, u will never move. It is like waiting until u have a ton of money socked away for diapers, food, & college funds before having children in case u run into tough times. You'd never have the children!

Sometimes you've just got to take the leap & work to make it happen. l would most definitely talk to ur supervisor about the company is stability & make them aware of ur situation & concerns.if u have a disposable position & ur company has been laying people off, u may want to wait awhile.

Also, with the current economic situation, it is probably a better time to buy a home rather than rent one depending on where u live.a lot of times mortgage payments r as low or only slightly higher than rent payments, & with the current market, u might be able to get something at a steep discount.
