If you lived in a townhouse and you heard the toddler next door flushing the toilet over and over again? And also, the constant patter of running and playing?
Hmmm. Theto my question are kinda depressing. I am the one who lives in a town house with a hyper toddler. The only bathroom is upstairs and sometimes l do not hear her flushing the toilet. Often l find out only when l have to go and find that the toilet is running because the chain in the tank gets tangled. But it has been doing this since l moved in (before my toddler started flushing) . I've lived here for several months and never had a complaint.
So because the noise is coming from my 3 year old and not partying and loud music, the fact that people have been telling me to get revenge by blasting loud music.........l do not party. I am just trying to raise a family.
''next time make your question less ambiguous'' l did that on purpose just to test responses in case you missed that. And since when does flushing a toilet torment the people next door in a townhouse or duplex? They just got spiteful over the ''constant patter''.

Blast offensive music that will teach him horrible things. Lil Wayne and such rap as that works, also, FUCK THE POLICE, by NWA. Once his parents start to complain, that gives you a good opening to complain too!

well l hate tell ya, but u should of check out the floor plan & realized u will have kids next door-up or down;and all u can do is talk to the parents, request more quietness;as for the toilet, u can tip off the landlord & say- gee l feel sorry for u if u r paying the water bill: & then explain why? at a following request to leave u out of his complaint to them: as for the kids running & playing extra lot may be the parent is not doing no supervision on them. good luck, if they fine out u conplained, then it could mean that u best watch out for more problems; u can not tell kids to not be kids:

l live beneath a pair of adults and l can hear them playing with their cats and can hear the cats running. (They are huge twenty something pound cats!) While it is not over and over again, l can also hear their toilet flushing. l must say that l am really not annoyed but l guess it is because l have experienced much worse. If the toddler is not crying and screaming all of the time then consider yourself lucky ;)

It should be possible to talk this over with the guardians or parents of the toddlers. No one likes to be a nuisance to neighbors

DONT let your toddler flush the toilet repetitively.
If its annoys the other residents, then its just plain rude.

besides its a waste of water.

As for playing, running, there is nothing you can do to prevent that, as long as its not loud music, then you do not have to do anything about it.

next time make your question less ambiguous.

l have children so no, l would not be annoyed . . . a tip if you are receiving complaints . . . cork flooring or carpet really insulates noise and is relatively inexpensive . . . you can buy cork tiles and use carpet tape to bind them together on the back . . . l have a joint wall that butts up to my five year old is room and l have cork tiles arranged on the wall so my neighbors do not hear everything . . .

Yes, a constantly flushing toilet would annoy me if the bathroom it was in (or the pipes that ran to/from it) shared a wall with a room l used a lot during the day. The CONSTANT patter of running & playing would irritate me, also.

You can call ur neighbors 'spiteful', & perhaps they are, BUT they have a right to quiet enjoyment of their property, just as u have the right to yours. If u have issues with the volume of their music, go talk to them about it, & ask if they're doing it because of noise levels from _your_ space -- if they aren't, report them to whoever manages ur townhome. If they are, take steps to minimize ur child is noise. Put something on the walls, make them play downstairs, etc.

l have a 3 year old as well, & while l love him to pieces & am happy to deal with his energy & such, l do not expect my neighbors to feel the same way. If he gets hyper, l take him out & we burn some of the energy off. If he starts running/banging/whatevering, l tell him to calm down, & explain that we need to think about the people below us & above us.

l think it comes down to honesty & courtesy for others. The way u posted ur question makes me question why u chose to pose ur question this way.

Bottom line, u should attempt to be courteous at all times. Having ur child flush constantly is something that can be rectified very easily.

Being aware of causing a problem & not doing anything about it is questionable as well.

Also, people r now starting to read all questions posted by an asker simply because people r not being forthright. You would have gotten more common sense had u posted the truth, with less ''blasting speakers''.
