The hard part these days seems to be finding a mortgage. If u can manage that, u may have to pay a fee (amount varies, sorry) depending on the type of mortgage that u get.

You will certainly have to pay a solicitor, who will add on the payments that he has to make for searches & Land Registry fees as well as, if it applies to you, Stamp Duty.

You should not have to pay any estate agents fees.

Total package is likely to cost £1000 upwards. My tip is to ask around local solicitors & get a quote from them as to what they might charge u - the amounts vary wildly. The same thing goes for mortgage providers.
