instead of the name of the man (owner) i've been in contact with it says that the property is owned by LASALLE BANK NA TRUSTEE of Chicago, IL. The house is in Houston. Is this anything l should be worried about?

yes. It is a scam where the old owner/or individual throws a tenant into a foreclosed home in order to collect the first month rent and security deposit. Since it is bank owned, it is vacant and they usually use combo locks where these scam artists get the codes from the MLS. If it is the old owner, he usually does this before the bank comes and changes the locks.
Nice job on pulling title! You usually see this crap on Craigslist.
