l recently moved to NC and currently live in an apartment. Since l plan to expand my family, l want a house. But do not know if l should buy with our economy shifting the way it is.Its a buyers' market.....but is it an owners market?

well yes if you have the money. The price of houses is only getting higher so you will most likely struggle to afford to buy a house later on with a family if you do not buy one now. hope this helps

If you know you can afford it, consider how stable you and your family is jobs are. l know of people that work for a bank for years (in management) making $100kUSD a year lose their job in an instant. Some jobs have agreements with the workers making it so they cannot be laid off after a certain amount of time.

1. You will get the house for sub-price & can probably negotiate for even better price. That is a huge bonus because when the market comes back, the value of ur property will increase, so u will have an asset.

2. l will tell u what l told my best friend, get a FIXED interest rate. Do not fall for the BS of the mortgage brokers. l worked with them for years & l know their tactics well. If it sounds too good..

3. You will get a huge tax break on owning a house. You can deduct certain things when paying a mortgage. The points, the state taxes, etc. Talk to ur accountant & get some advice. It may reduce ur income taxes & be further help to ur financial picture.
