l am considering moving an old house to a block of land and am having it is only a distance of approx 2.5kms. l have accounted for Plumbing, Electrical. Land clearance. but am getting varying quotes for removal.
Anybody done this and what was there experience.

Budgeting for a relocated home is not easy.

General rule is that expect to spend at least what the house costs to buy in other costs such as removal fees & renovation expenses. The main one that nobody seems to know about is that the coucil will require a bond until the house is on site. That way they can charge u if any street signs etc r damaged during the move.
